​Anne is an education technologist with over 20 years of classroom experience. Her background is in special education. She dreams of a world where technology integration is truly invisible and seamless.

Professional Profile

Anne Truger is an educational technology consultant. She is the former Director of Educational Technology Innovation at Waukegan (Il) Public Schools District 60 where she enjoyed the challenge of rolling out 5000+ Chromebooks. She is a Google Certified Innovator, DEN STAR, Tech4Learning Innovative Educator, and a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University in partnership with ISTE: Supervision and Leadership program. She loves all things technology and isn’t afraid of trying new things. Anne has presented at ISTE 2001-2016, ICE 1998-2016, TCEA 2015 and was a featured speaker at MACUL 2009-2012. Anne is a Past President of ICE and a former Co-Chair for the ICE Conference. Currently She enjoys presenting and sharing her lifelong love of learning and technology passion with others.

Biography

Anne Truger started her career as a Special Education teacher with a Masters in Instructional Technology. She went on to become a Director of Educational Technology Innovation at Waukegan (Il) Public Schools District 60. In this position she has co- facilitated a 1:1 Learning Initiative comprised of 5000+ Chromebooks and also the co-facilitator for the district’s Lighthouse Lead Learner program. Under her leadership the Waukegan annual Google n’ More Conference was born. She co-chaired this conference for three years. Today she is an educational technology consultant with over 10 years of public speaking experience. She is a Google Certified Innovator, DEN STAR, Tech4Learning Innovative Educator, former President of ICE (Illinois Computing Educators) and former co-chair for the ICE Conference. She is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University in partnership with ISTE: Supervision and Leadership program. She loves all things technology and isn’t afraid of trying new things. Anne has presented at ISTE 2001-2015, ICE 1998-2015, TCEA 2015, Tech Learning Live Chicago 2015 and was a featured speaker at MACUL 2009-2012. She enjoys presenting and sharing her lifelong love of learning and technology passion with others.
